Hotel is living up to the Ibis brand's reputation. Staff very professional and helpful. Room clean, modern, good soundproofing, good bed. Breakfast plenty of choices from traditional eggs sausages local produce to healthy cereal fruits salad options. Within easy walk from town centre. Public transport in Bucharest is extremely good, a relic from the communist era when people did not have cars. A ticket is 3 RON and you can change any buses trams during that period. The underground is same 3 RON but being a different company you will need to buy different tickets. I prefer the above ground bus transport as you can discover the city. Note that the bus tickets are also valid on bus 100 which is the main transport line from airport to town centre. Public transport website very useful https://www.stbsa.ro/eng/index People are nice and helpful, many of the younger ones speak English so it will be easy getting around. Food and general prices are ok for tourists, except at the airport where it is a proper rip off. There is no real choice but to pay 50 RON for a sandwich, which will cost you less than half the price in any good shop in town. I have visited one of the new shopping malls, Park Lane. Beautiful shops, but be ready to pay 22 RON for a coffee @ Paul's, while you can have a lovely sandwich and a bottle of water for under 20 ron. Most tourists can easily afford these prices, and so can I, but the it does seem exaggerated.

When traveling abroad for short-term sightseeing stays, I like to use the services of Ibis hotels. I was not disappointed this time either. The hotel is very well located within walking distance from all the biggest attractions in the city and the old town, there is a metro station nearby and there are public transport lines nearby. Right next to the hotel is a small supermarket that is open from morning to late evening and you can buy everything there. Breakfast at the hotel was very good, rich, tasty and varied. Although the room was not big, it had everything to comfortably spend 4 nights in it, including a small refrigerator and a kettle for making coffee and tea. Moreover, it was oriented to a quiet part. The hotel is well and modernly furnished and has everything you need, including a restaurant. The staff was helpful and accommodating with very good English.

Nice friendly hotel that is walking distance (approx 25 mins) to the Old Town or a cheap short ride in an Uber. There is a tram outside but none of the staff that we spoke to knew where it went, or had any information for tourism recommendations on where to go or places to eat in the surrounding areas etc… It would have been helpful if there was some literature, brochures placed in the lobby that recommended places to eat, drink, visit in the area as well as local transport services etc… There was a leaflet advertising tours but it was behind the reception desk and the staff wasn’t really interested in promoting the services. I imagine lots of people visit for a short trip so this information would be really helpful. Never the less the hotel staff were very friendly, service was very good, food was delicious so I would recommend this hotel.

Very modern hotel, feels new, fancy lobby with restaurant that you can work in on your laptop (or perhaps even computers provided?) Breakfast had good variety of dishes, staff was very helpful and friendly and helped us store our luggage after checkout in a lockable room. Room was basic but functional. Two narrow beds that were enough for us. Pillows of two kinds- regular and memory foam. Room had a safe. There was a minimarket right next to the hotel. Area is very green, more foresty than the centre, it was very nice.

I had a pleasant stay at the Ibis Styles Bucharest City Center. The hotel is in a great location with good public transport connections, making it easy to explore the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which added to the positive experience. The rooms were clean and well-maintained. A great bonus was the clean and well-equipped fitness room, which I really appreciated during my stay. Overall, it's a comfortable and convenient choice for a stay in Bucharest for a city trip.
